ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ಮಂದಾರ ಕನ್ನಡ ಕೂಟದ ಬಂಧುಗಳೇ,
ನಮ್ಮ ಕೂಟದ ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಕಾರ್ಯಕಾರಿ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಅವಧಿಯು ಜೂನ್ ೩೦, ೨೦೨೧ ಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಗಿಯುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದುದರಿಂದ, ನಾವೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಸೇರಿ ಹೊಸ ಸಮಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡೋಣ. ಹೊಸ ಕಾರ್ಯಕಾರಿ ಸಮಿತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಲು ಇಚ್ಛಿಸುವ ಮಂದಾರ ಕೂಟದ ಸದಸ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಈ ಸಂದೇಶದ ಮೂಲಕ ತಮ್ಮ ಉಮೇದುವಾರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು(candidacy) ನಮಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸಲು ಆಹ್ವಾನಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಮಂದಾರ ಕೂಟದ ಸಂವಿಧಾನದ (constitution) ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಹೊಸ ಕಾರ್ಯಕಾರಿ ಸಮಿತಿಯ ಚುನಾವಣೆಯ ವಿವರಗಳನ್ನು ಈ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಕೊಡಲಾಗಿದೆ.
Dear Mandaara Kannada Koota members,
The 2-year term of the current Mandaara Executive Committee (EC) ends on June 30, 2021 and a new committee has to be elected by May 8, 2021 when the Mandaara NEKK general body meeting (GBM) will be held at the Ugadi function.
As per the process outlined in the NEKK Articles of Association, candidates for 7 positions (President, Secretary, Treasurer and four members) are to be elected by the registered active members of Mandaara NEKK. The new 7-member Executive Committee will serve a 2-year term beginning July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2023.
Nominations are invited for all positions on the Executive Committee. Details of the election process and information to send nominations are given below. For additional details, kindly refer to Mandaara NEKK’s articles of association at https://mandaara.orgarticles-of-association/

Guidelines
Nomination Submission: The Executive Committee (EC) consists of President, Secretary, Treasurer and 4 general members. Nominations are invited of each position of the committee. Each candidate has to submit the nomination form to ETC team using the email: etc21.mandaara@gmail.com. It is a self nomination and third party nominations are not accepted. All entries in the nomination form must be completed. A candidate can submit a nomination form for ONLY one position.
Candidate Team (Slate of candidates): It is encouraged for candidates to join together and form a team. However, please note that the election will be held for the 7 individual positions and not for the teams. Each candidate in the team (slate of candidates) shall notify their consent to ETC via email.
Candidate Eligibility: Applicant should have been an active member of Mandaara NEKK for at least six months (180 days) prior to the election date. The cut-off date for eligibility is November 8, 2020. It is recommended that the candidate for President be an active member for at least 2 years and preferably possess experience working in a previous committee of Mandaara NEKK. Please note that an individual cannot be the President for more than 2 consecutive (back to back) terms unless there are no other available candidates. No such restriction exists for other members of EC.
Signature in the Nomination Form: The application asks for a signature. You can either sign or type the applicant’s full legal name, which will be considered equivalent to electronic signature in the application.
Application Deadline: Completed application form must be sent via e-mail only to etc21.mandaara@gmail.com before midnight (EDT) of April 10, 2021. The time stamp of the receipt of e-mail will be strictly followed and any application received after this cut-off time will be rejected.
Non-redundant: An individual’s name should be part of only one team, and should not appear in multiple teams. Within the team, an individual’s name should appear for only one position.
Completeness: Application should be sent by each team using the attached application form (Word). All information must be filled correctly for the application to be valid. Applications not filled correctly and completely, or those found to be containing inaccurate information will be rejected. If there are non-critical errors, one chance will be given to the candidates to correct them and resubmit within 24 hours.
Voter Eligibility: Only registered members of Mandaara NEKK who are active members at least 90 days prior to the election date are eligible to vote. The cut-off date for eligibility to vote is February 8, 2021. Family memberships will be eligible for 2 votes and individual/student membership for 1 vote.
Withdrawal/Realignment: Names of teams and their members of each accepted team will be published on or before April 12, 2021. Teams will be given 8 days (April 20, 2021) to withdraw or form any realignment of candidates based on consensus among them to arrive at a fresh slate(s) for the final election process. Please note that:
There is no obligation for teams to realign. However, in the interest of the Koota, ETC encourages teams to discuss this possibility.
New teams should only be from the candidates of the already accepted names. No new names will be accepted.
Candidate wishing to withdraw should send an email to etc21.mandaara@gmail.com
Ballot: ETC should receive list(s) of fresh teams (realigned from previously accepted teams only) via e-mail no later than midnight (EDT) of April 20, 2021.
Election process in case of more than 1 team contesting: Due to the pandemic the election will be conducted online before May 8. The procedure will be published in advance to enable all active members to participate. The announcement of new executive committee will be done at the GBM on May 8. The GBM also will be virtual.
As per the Mandaara election process, ETC is solely responsible for conducting the election process and its decisions will be final.
